Muhammet Daştan was awarded his bachelor’s degree in Economics by Anadolu University in 2015, graduating as the top student in his department. He also obtained a degree in Business Administration from the same university through a double-major program. He received his master’s degree in Economics from Anadolu University in 2017 and his PhD in Economics Policy from Atatürk University in 2021. He began his academic career as a Research Assistant at Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University in 2016 and held the position of Assistant Professor at Ondokuz Mayıs University from 2024 to 2026. He is currently an Associate Professor at Social Sciences University of Ankara. He has published numerous articles in prestigious journals, with his research primarily focusing on economic policy uncertainty, geopolitical risk, and energy and environmental economics.
