Sabri received his PhD in Accounting and Finance, specialising in liquidity creation and liquidity risk exposure in banking sector from Durham University Business School, University of Durham, UK. Sabri is currently a lecturer in Islamic Finance and acting registrar at the Centre for Islamic Finance, Bolton Business School, University of Bolton, UK.

Sabri’s research interests include Islamic economics and finance, contemporary applications of Islamic commercial law, Islamic financial product development, maqasid al-Shariah, Shariah governance and regulations, banking regulations, risk management, corporate social responsibility, auditing and reporting.
